TINNER'S BARN, ST JUST
Tinner's Barn is well-loved and full of character. It's tucked away down a little alley-way in the centre of the vibrant town of St Just right on the edge of the Atlantic. It's bijou and perfectly formed and an ideal base for couples and individuals looking to explore this beautiful and magical corner of Cornwall as it's only 15 minutes’ walk from the South West Coastal path. With many foodie delights, galleries and local shops literally on the doorstep in St Just you can enjoy leaving the car and exploring by foot. A typical Cornish terraced barn, it's a 'one-up one-down' with the kitchen and living space on the ground floor and the bedroom and shower room on the first floor. With Cape Cornwall and the Cot Valley within easy reach and beaches at Gwenver and Sennen a short drive away, Tinner’s Barn is perfectly located in this beautiful part of South West Cornwall.
LOCATION
The whole town of St Just is a UNESCO world heritage site and surrounded by wild moors and dramatic coastline. If feeling energetic try exploring the stunning Tinner’s Way running along the coast from Cape Cornwall all the way to St Ives. It’s an ancient route from the Bronze Age and where the tin and copper ore were transported along the way from St Just to Hayle.
St Just is a friendly town that feels lost in time with an array of great local shops, a deli, a butcher, four pubs and a small local supermarket for your everyday needs. Surrounding the town are the most spectacular stretches of coastline and fantastic walks from the doorstep. Sennen with its glorious surfing beach is ten minutes away as is Potheras, a hidden and stunning local’s cove. Travelling further east within twenty minutes you can be in Marazion with its fabulous beach overlooking the famous St Michaels Mount, St Ives, Mousehole and Penzance.
LIVING
Walking in through the door you enter the open-plan kitchen and living area on the ground floor. There are two armchairs in front of the wood burner and a TV mounted on the wall in the corner. It's the perfect place to cosy up in front of the fire after a day of exploring the Far West.
COOKING & EATING
The compact kitchen area is fully equipped and has everything you need to dine in. There is a pull-out table on the living area side of the kitchen and two folding chairs so you can set up a dinner for two.
SLEEPING
Take the open tread staircase up to the bedroom which is on the first floor. Here you will find a comfortable double bed and en suite shower room. You are guaranteed a restful night in this airy, calming room.
BATHING
There is an en suite shower room. Towels and bedding are provided for you, just remember to bring your own beach towels.

Lisa – August 2024
“I loved staying at Tinner's Barn, I travelled from the Midlands on my own, with the hope of finding a little sanctuary by the sea and indeed that is exactly what I found. Thank you.”
Melanie – July 2024
“We came from South Wales for a little getaway with our beloved 11-year-old Spaniel and had the most lovely stay at The Barn. A hairdryer, an iron, a toasty wood burner, a TV with freeview - even tea, milk and biscuits - just absolutely everything you could ever need was provided, and the welcome book gave some great tips and recommendations too. The barn was also clean, with a comfortable bed for a good night’s sleep. Saint Just is a sweet little town within walking distance of Cape Cornwall and just a short drive away from places like Land’s End, Penzance or Saint Ives. Overall, Tinner’s Barn is great value for money. We will definitely be recommending it to friends.”
