Lovingly designed with comfort in mind, the kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to prepare a cosy holiday supper, complete with a handy breakfast bar and two stools. Just off the kitchen, you'll find a compact shower-room—ideal for a refreshing rinse after a day spent exploring the coast.
The main studio room is a welcoming space, with two armchairs positioned near the toasty wood burner—perfect for curling up with a book or enjoying a quiet evening in. At the far end of the open-plan room, a pretty double bed basks in natural light from the windows, making the space feel bright and tranquil.
Step outside to discover a tiered garden (please note- with granite steps) leading down to the front of The Cottage. The sunny, private garden is a true delight—from morning coffee to leisurely lunches and stargazing by night. The lawn is perfect for four-legged friends, surrounded by lush, well-tended shrubs.
LOCATION
Located in a peaceful wooded valley between the postcard-perfect Porthcurno and the quaint harbour village of Mousehole, Lamorna Cove is a hidden gem of West Cornwall. At low tide, the small sandy beach is ideal for a refreshing swim. Set right on the South West Coast Path, it’s for walkers—and a great spot for four-legged adventurers too. With its tranquil atmosphere and natural beauty, there's also a local village pub that serves great food, Lamorna is a lovely place to pause and soak in the tranquil charm.
With the South West Coast Path on your doorstep, this is a wonderful base for walkers, nature lovers, and those looking to slow down and reconnect with Cornwall's natural beauty. The friendly owner lives nearby and is always happy to help with local tips.
LIVING
Thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind, the open-plan living space feels both snug and stylish. Two inviting armchairs sit by the wood burner, creating a warm, romantic atmosphere — ideal for curling up with a good book or a glass of wine after a day of exploring.
COOKING & EATING
The compact kitchen is more like a kitchenette and is kitted out with all the basics that you need for your stay- with a small built-in electric oven with a two ring hob, a table top fridge, and a breakfast bar with two stools — this is an ideal spot for lazy morning coffees or intimate evening suppers.
SLEEPING
At the far end of the room is a plush double bed (one side is against the wall) perfectly positioned for dreamy lie-ins and lazy mornings. There is a small cupboard (behind the bed) where you can store your
bits and bobs.
BATHING
The shower room is located next to the kitchen and boasts a walk-in shower for a refreshing start (or end) to your day. We’ll supply the fluffy bath towels, just remember to bring your own beach towels.
OUTSIDE
Step outside and you'll discover a secluded haven — a sweet little garden area where time seems to slow down. Listen to the gentle rustle of leaves and the cheerful morning birdsong as you enjoy your morning coffee. A pretty bench and a quaint bistro table offer the perfect spot to soak up the sunshine or enjoy a quiet alfresco meal surrounded by nature.
USEFUL TO KNOW...
PARKING: There's parking on the road directly outside of the Cottage (in front of the gate)
WI-FI: Wi-Fi is included.
HEATING: The wood burner in the living area will keep you toasty and warm.
PETS: One biggish dog or two small well-behaved dogs are welcome at £35 per dog per week/short break.
Far West Cornwall is doggie heaven! There’s plenty of beaches and coast paths for exploring. Please make sure they stay off the bed and off the furniture and that you rub down muddy/sandy feet before they come in.
LINEN & TOWELS: You'll have bedding & towels but please remember to bring your own beach towels.
ACCESSIBILITY: The entrance is set over two tiered areas, and quite a few granite steps lead down through the gardens to the stable door which opens into the kitchen.
This property is not wheelchair friendly and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. If this applies, please contact our booking office to discuss the properties potential suitability prior to confirming.
CHANGEOVER & SHORT BREAKS: Changeover days are usually on a Friday however we are flexible and we have short breaks available for a minimum of three nights all year round.
