LOCATION

Myrtle House is located within the miner’s village of Pendeen in the heart of the far west of Cornwall. The area around here is a really magical place, and is often referred to as ‘Poldark Country’, it is in many ways untouched by modern-day life with its tin mining relics and unspoiled coastline. If you’re looking for a walker’s paradise to explore and to be off the beaten track then the comfort of this wonderful home is the perfect spot to do so. This part of West Cornwall showcases some of the most magnificent sunsets so don’t forget to pack your camera.

Just along the coast is the outstanding Pendeen Lighthouse, historic Geevor mine, or peaceful Portheras Cove, a stunning local beach so don't forget your walking boots. For surfers, hop in the car and you can be down on Sennen or Gwenver beaches, both a short drive away. You won’t be disappointed by the stretch of golden sands, dunes and crystal-clear water and popular surf break.

At the end of a fun day of beaching, head to one of the two local pubs which are both within walking distance and are both lovely for a sundowner in the garden or good pub grub. The beauty of Pendeen is that you’re never far from some of Cornwall’s best bits - grab an ice cream from the Moomaids Café in St Just square only 10 minutes away, or dine out in St Ives in less than 30 minutes or spend the day on the magical St Michaels Mount.

LIVING

Entering into the spacious open plan living and dining area there is space to kick off your shoes at the entrance and feel at home instantly. It is the heart of the house with a large leather sofa and two grey armchairs to relax and unwind of an evening. The wood burner is nestled in the centre of the room and the Smart TV is ideal for gathering everyone together for a film after a day exploring the coast.
