BODILLIAN, PRAA SANDS
The sea views at Bodillian are simply breath-taking!
Oh my! With one of the most incredible sea views stretching across the Atlantic Ocean this dreamy reverse level homestay really has the wow factor. Situated above the golden sandy beach in Praa Sands this sumptuous beach house makes the most of the sea views at every opportunity. This is the ultimate property for that extra special family getaway in Cornwall.
Inside this exquisite holiday home is a beautiful interior with expansive views of the Atlantic from almost every room. This is a truly special space, cleverly designed to combine superior interior standards against an ever-changing coastal vista. At Bodillian you’ll enjoy an abundance of space and light, as the whole property encapsulates luxurious relaxation blending effortless style with comfort.
Gather everyone together in the open-plan living and dining area. The sitting area has two large, comfy sofas, perfectly positioned to enjoy the extensive sea views and a South-facing balcony complete with a small table and four chairs. At the far end of the room sits the wonderful dining area which seats eight. During warmer months, the Juliet balcony bi-fold doors can be opened wide to bring the outside in - the perfect way to spend an evening or two watching the sun set over the ocean. After a day of surfing and exploring head downstairs to one of the four luxurious bedrooms and drift off to sleep to the sound of the distant sea.
LOCATION
Praa Sands is rapidly becoming one of Cornwall's hidden hot spots. If you enjoy a barista morning coffee to start your day with then head to SISU which is a short stroll from Bodillian. SISU is a modern Scandinavian café which is open seven days a week (seasonally) serving delicious breakfast, brunch, and tasty homemade cakes. Another new addition to the village is The Welloe a laid-back beachside bar serving hearty breakfasts and delicious home-made pizzas and where you can kick back and listen to local bands several times a week. A trip to Cornwall isn’t complete without a sea swim, and if you fancy learning to surf (the Cornish way) you can book a day's tuition at the surf school which is located on the beach . If you enjoy a game of golf then don't forget to pack your clubs, as you have Praa Sands Golf and Country Club close by.
There is so much to see and do on this edge of the coast! Jump in the car and you are only a ten minute or so drive to Penzance and Marazion with its fabulous beach overlooking the famous St. Michael's Mount. Travelling east, Porthleven is a few miles away and fast becoming a go-to destination with an attractive harbour and many good restaurants and cafés. Try Amelie’s on the harbour. They do a great Sunday lunch with live Jazz and it’s one of our favourites. Travelling to the wider west Cornwall is simple too, with St Ives, Mousehole and Sennen all within easy reach. For walkers, you can join the South West coastal path, which literally goes past your door step (well it’s quite close) so don’t forget to pack your walking boots.LIVING

WHAT GUESTS ARE SAYING...
"We stayed at Bodillian for a reunion with old friends, and the house was the perfect coastal retreat for us, spacious and well thought out. The views from the upstairs living space are spectacular with panoramic views of the sea. The house is so comfortable, with big comfy beds and luxurious bedding and towels. We really enjoyed the short stroll down to the beach and having breakfast or a few drinks at the local pub “The Welloe“, right on the beach. Also, it's just a short drive (or healthy walk along the Coastal Path) from Bodillian to many other stunning beaches, the famous St Michael's Mount and the foodie heaven of Porthleven. All in all we enjoyed a lovely stay at Bodillian and Praa Sands and can’t wait to come and visit again soon. Thanks for a great stay!"
