LOCATION
Located in a quiet location just a stroll from Penzance’s high street or the popular Chapel Street, this property is situated perfectly for exploring the best the town has to offer. Be right in the heart of it all but tucked away enough to enjoy a relaxing stay. The best local attractions, shops, galleries, bars, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance. You can be in the oldest pub in Penzance, The Turks Head, dating from 1233, in a matter of minutes. Or walk along the seafront to the famous Jubilee Pool, the UK’s largest art deco seawater lido.
Penzance is the gateway to the Land’s End peninsula and in the Far West of Cornwall nothing is far away. The fishing harbour of Newlyn is 20 minutes’ walk along the seafront promenade, and the quaint village of Mousehole is only a 10 minutes’ drive away. Marazion, with the famous St. Michael’s Mount, is easy to walk or drive to and St. Ives is a short trip using the scenic rail line from Penzance station. Sennen Cove, The Minack Theatre in Porthcurno, and The Cornish Mining World Heritage Site on the north coast, are all an easy drive away. Many of the film locations from Winston Graham’s Poldark books are in the area and part of the German TV Rosamunde Pilcher series was filmed right outside the door in Chapel Street.
LIVING
Open-plan to the kitchen/dining area, the light living area is a comfortable space filled with selected pieces reflecting the owner Meg’s family’s history after a long residence in the far east . There is a dark blue velvety sofa to sink into for nights with a good film, or simply to put your feet up and indulge in one the owner’s many books. A second sofa makes for a sociable space and to relax. A large TV with Sky Essentials package will provide plenty of entertainment during your stay. Off the living area is access to a private balcony with outdoor seating.

WHAT GUESTS ARE SAYING...
“The apartment was exactly as seen in the photographs and all in perfect condition. We hadn't experienced underfloor heating before and it was wonderful. The secure gated entry worked well and kept our car secure in a town where there is little public parking. We would choose the apartment again if we come to Penzance again.”
Paul – October 2024
“Lovely stay, would recommend. Great location, great apartment!”
Sam – September 2024
“We enjoyed our stay in Penzance! This is a lovely spacious apartment that manages to be professional but not overly sterile. The objects and the wonderful book collection are not just meaningless decoration, but certainly add to the charm of this space. The sunny balcony is a welcome addition.”
Andreas – July 2024
“I stayed here for just over a week and had a wonderful time. The apartment is absolutely lovely, spacious and clean, stocked with everything you might need (including many books), and I appreciated the Cornish biscuits and coffee on arrival! It's really close to the bus/railway station, which was great as I was heading off to different places to walk the coast - it's a fantastic location for exploring both Penzance and further afield. Definitely to be recommended - thank you Sebastian and Lowenna!”
Emma – July 2024
“This was the perfect place for us - clean, comfortable, great amenities, and easy access to lots of the places we wanted to see in Cornwall. We loved our stay!”
