Overlooking Cape Cornwall and the Atlantic ocean this comfortable and cosy cottage is set on the outskirts of St Just and is moments from the sea and coast path. Ocean Breeze is the perfect base for individuals and couples to enjoy west Cornwall with  stunning views and sunsets which can be enjoyed from the garden to the front or from the comfort of the sofa where you can hunker down in the cooler months, or open the windows and enjoy the breeze from the Atlantic ocean in the summer. At any time of year Ocean Breeze is comfortable and welcoming with everything you need nearby. 


Walkers will love it here with the coastal footpath moments away and if you enjoy a swim, Priest’s Cove has a miner’s sea pool which is accessible at low tide. This little rocky cove sits just below Cape Cornwall and has a pebbly beach with a slipway for the small fishing boats that work from here. There is evidence of the area’s mining heritage and you’ll see this in the colours staining the cliffs. One mile off the coast aer Brisons Rocks, also known as ‘General de Gaulle in his bath’. For keen birders you will see many sea birds here and Cape Cornwall is a known spot for pairs of Choughs.

There is a generous kitchen in this one-storey barn with everything you need and more. The breakfast bar creates a sociable place to dine after long coastal walks and the comfy and cosy TV area is a snug place to enjoy a good film. There is a nautical theme throughout to reflect the location and the barn is filled with light. The little garden to the front makes the most of the views from the bench or enjoy your evening al fresco and watch the changing sky as the sun sets. Perfectly located for discovering the beauty of the rugged far west Cornwall, Ocean Breeze offers a great setting for your holiday throughout the year.


LOCATION

Close to the South West Coast Path, Ocean Breeze offers fantastic walks right from the front door. Amble down to Priests Cove, a pebbly beach from where little fishing boats still work lobster pots, and where a saltwater pool in the rocks offers safe and sheltered bathing.

The historic town of St Just is just a short walk away. The whole town of St Just is a UNESCO world heritage site and surrounded by wild moors and dramatic coastline. If feeling energetic try exploring the stunning Tinner’s Way running along the coast from Cape Cornwall all the way to St Ives. It’s an ancient route from the Bronze Age and where the tin and copper ore were transported along the way from St Just to Hayle.

St Just is a friendly town that feels lost in time with an array of great local shops, a deli, a butcher, four pubs and a small local supermarket for your everyday needs. Surrounding the town are the most spectacular stretches of coastline and fantastic walks from the doorstep. Sennen Cove with its glorious surfing beach is ten minutes away as is Portheras Cove, a hidden and stunning local’s cove. Travelling further east within twenty minutes you can be in Marazion with its fabulous beach overlooking the famous St Michaels Mount, St Ives, Mousehole and Penzance.


LIVING

Ocean Breeze boasts fantastic sea views and from the comfort of your sofa you can watch the sunset on the horizon, a spectacular sight at any time of the year. There is a two seater sofa in front of the electric wood burner and Smart TV and is open to the kitchen area, ideal for cosying up after a day of exploring the coast and enjoying the evening sunlight.


COOKING & EATING

The kitchen at Ocean Breeze is equipped with everything you need to cook up a feast. There is an electric oven and hob, microwave and slimline dishwasher. Opening up to the living area, the breakfast bar is the perfect social space for extra hands to assist in the kitchen or to enjoy your morning coffee.


SLEEPING

A comfortable double bedroom with a shelf above the bed and wall lights for cosy evenings and relaxing mornings. There’s a built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers for storing your belongings.


BATHING

There is a modern shower room with an electric shower, WC and Basin. Enjoy warm fluffy towels from the heated towel rail.


OUTSIDE

Within enclosed grounds there is a small, landscaped garden. Did we mention the views from here? The perfect place for breakfast with a view or an afternoon cream tea in the sun. The garden is open to the garden of Ocean View.


SHORT BREAKS

Ocean Breeze is available for short breaks for a minimum of three nights with flexible changeover days out of season. Do check with us if your dates don't quite fit as we will always try to help.


USEFUL TO KNOW...

PARKING: There is off road parking.

WI-FI: Fine wifi (Up to 7MB) broadband means you can stay connected.

UTILITY: There is a washing machine in the kitchen.

HEATING: There are electric radiators throughout as well as an electric wood burner opposite the sofa.

CHILDREN: Children and infants are not permitted as the property is not suitable.

PETS: Unfortunately, Ocean Breeze does not permit pets.

Many of our cottages are pet friendly though and in perfect locations to explore the west with your companion.

LINEN & TOWELS: You'll have bedding & towels but please bring your own beach towels.

ACCESSIBILITY: A one-storey barn across one floor with one step in. Off road parking is available just outside the garden. If in doubt or if you have any questions do get in touch before booking.
