Entering into the sociable open plan living and dining area you will feel at home as you relax and sink into the large sofa in front of the wood burner. It is a calm space with exposed beams, wooden flooring and Cornish stone walls. The house is full of texture and the soft furnishings create a lovely atmospheric place to unwind. With the bespoke-fitted kitchen, just off the living area, keen cooks can keep in touch with those awaiting a feast around the beautiful rustic dining table.
The three comfortable bedrooms make the most of the light and continue the soft texturing from the living space. There is a bathroom and a separate shower on the first floor and there is an additional cloakroom on the ground floor. The lovely courtyard garden is a perfect spot for an alfresco breakfast together around the table or enjoy some sheltered sun and a good book on one of the wooden loungers.
A real retreat with a garden, private parking and a central location, Mill House is a charmingly elegant base where you can leave the car parked and enjoy so much from the doorstep.
LOCATION
Mousehole is Cornwall at its absolute best and it’s obvious as to why the iconic fishing village is such a popular location. Its origins date back as far as the 12th century when it was the main fishing port in Mounts Bay, and much of its old-world charm has remained. You can feel the history when you stroll around its higgledy-piggledy lanes.
The village hugs the coastline and is protected by Raginnis Hill, making it a real suntrap to soak up the Cornish sun. Mousehole is also a foodie hot-spot, with a good selection of restaurants, cafes, two delis, and the working harbour of Newlyn being in easy reach. Mousehole harbour lights are perhaps the most famous attraction, when hundreds of people each year come to see the village illuminated by Christmas lights.
Choose to make the most of the walks and places to visit within walking distance or use as a base to explore from and retreat back to. With so much within a half an hour drive you can really enjoy the best of the far west of Cornwall.

“We stayed for a few nights at the end of September and found the cottage to be a great base to explore the area and enjoy the village. Having parking next to the cottage was a real bonus.”
Timothy – September 2024
“Mill House was in a great location, less than a minute from the harbour, and so close to lots of lovely places to eat. Parking in the garage made staying in Mousehole stress-free. The house was well equipped and very cosy. It was cool in the summer, and had outdoor space to eat, or dry things after a trip to the many local beaches. We’ll be back!”
Sarah – July 2024
“The most lovely property situated in Mousehole. Complete with off road parking which makes the stay 10/10. We have stayed in Mousehole numerous times and off-road parking with a garage is worth staying here alone! Gorgeous property at the heart of a quiet, pretty fishing village with a great history. Would stay again and recommend!”
