TREGIFFIAN BARN, GWENVER

This stunning barn conversion blends the best of a traditional barn with all the luxuries of modern life. Set in a rural location with Gwenver beach only ten minutes walk away, it is beautifully finished with comfortable and stylish furnishings. The barn's open and light kitchen, dining and living area is across the first floor, opening up to the sea views from a Juliet balcony. It is perfect for enjoying sunsets and with the all-important wood burner it is comfortable all year round. Tregiffian Barn is the ideal family holiday or relaxed couple’s retreat in the far West of Cornwall.

Set above Gwenver beach in the small hamlet of Tregiffian there are spectacular beaches and coastal walks on the doorstep. Explore West Cornwall and further afield, with Sennen, The Minack Theatre and Lands End all being within walking distance.

With the living space on the first floor there are three comfortable and light bedrooms and a family bathroom on the ground floor. The master bedroom has an en suite shower room and French windows opening up to the garden.

The garden offers a lawn, outdoor seating and a large sunny paved area, making it the perfect place for enjoying a barbeque on a summers evening when it’s just too good to be inside.

With spectacular sea views and spacious living space, Tregiffian Barn is a place to enjoy luxurious details and comfort at any time of year.

LOCATION

Tregiffian Veor is a small hamlet of converted farm buildings and cottages set high above Gwenver. It’s a dramatic area in terms of beauty with some of the most spectacular coastal walks in West Cornwall on your doorstep. Sennen Cove is a short drive away with two great surf schools, beach bar and good local pub. Further afield it's an easy drive to Penzance, Mousehole and St Ives which are all worth a visit.

LIVING

The generous open plan living area on the first floor means that the family or couples can be together whatever they're doing. The cook can keep an eye on the team! A well-equipped kitchen at one end with a dining area in the centre, the pièce de résistance at Tregiffian Barn is the living area, with stunning sea views from the glazed gable end, and side windows. Watch the sun go down or simply enjoy the changing colours towards the Longships Lighthouse throughout the day. With central heating and a wood-burner it is a comfortable place to be all year.

COOKING & EATING

Seat the family around the dining table and look back over the day's adventures, then plan tomorrows. The kitchen has all you need to cook wonderful local produce, perhaps sourced from Sennen Farmer's Market. There's a fridge, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and plenty more.

The dining table has a bench on one side with wooden chairs to seat up to six comfortably.

SLEEPING

MASTER BEDROOM: A king size bed with en suite shower room. Its large doors open out onto the patio garden.

LITTLE ONES: There is a travel cot and highchair for your use. Don't forget to bring a mattress and linen for the cot.

PETS: Unfortunately, Tregiffian Barn does not permit pets. Many of our cottages are pet friendly though and in perfect locations to explore the west with your companion.

HEATING: The whole cottage is kept at a comfortable temperature by underfloor heating, and for chilly nights and winter then the wood burning stove brings cosy delight to this fantastic holiday home.

LINEN AND TOWELS: Bedding and towels are supplied, just please remember to bring your beach towels.

UTILITY: The cupboard in the bathroom houses a washing machine, airer, iron and ironing board.

WHAT GUESTS ARE SAYING...

“Such a lovely place to stay. Clean and modern, but homely. Great location if you like something a bit out of the way. Would definitely recommend for families.”

Neil – October 2024

“The barn was absolutely beautiful with everything we needed and the location is stunning! The photographs don’t do it justice! The barn has everything you might need and is a joy to stay in on rainy days or just if you want to chill out, read a book and enjoy the view! Would definitely recommend!”

Laura – September 2024

“Our second stay at Tregiffian Barn. Weather was rubbish but that was the only downside but a lovely house to chill out in and plenty of space! Beach still lovely in the rain and wind... Penzance geothermal pool was fun and visits to the dunes in Hayle etc. We shall be back.... again!”

Ali – May 2024

“We had a wonderful stay at Tregiffian Barn. The area is quiet and the sea and a wonderful beach are a 10-minute walk away. The space is spacious, equipped with everything you need for a longer stay. The Cornish Way were always quick to respond to questions. Thank you, we had a great stay.”

Rebekka – September 2023

“A great stay at Tregiffian Barn with our 9 and 12 year old boys. We know the area well and location wise it was perfect - 15 mins walk down to the beach and 20 back, up many steps, so we definitely got the heart pumping in time for a BBQ and wine each evening. A peaceful hamlet and some lovely coastal walks from the door. Clean, spacious and very well equipped. When we go to Sennen/Gwenver we rarely venture further than the beach, and the pub in Sennen for a drink, so we like a lovely place and this ticked the boxes. The Cornish Way were communicative and everything worked well. We've already booked again for next year.”
